Your adventure begins early in the morning when you will be picked up at the lobby of your hotel in one of our comfortable busses. From here, we will head to Punta Cana International Airport and take a plane to the peninsula. This short flight (approx. 45 minutes) is an excellent opportunity for you to view the coastal areas of the Dominican Republic from above – if the weather is clear.
We will land in Samaná and head to the “Sierra de Samana” mountain range in an open-air safari truck. On our typical Dominican ranch, your tour guide will introduce you to the various agricultural products that grow in the Dominican Republic, including coffee, cacao, fruits and plants, and invite you to taste everything.
Your next adventure is a horseback riding tour through the tropical jungle forest. You will go for a short ride along the river “Arroyo Chico” until reaching the magnificent waterfall “El Limon”. This remarkable waterfall, which drops 165 feet into a picturesque lagoon, will surely take your breath away…and you are welcome to take a swim in the lagoon.
We continue the tour towards the Samaná harbour with a short city tour of Santa Barbara de Samaná. Next up is lunch, which is served at the exclusive “Punta Lirio” restaurant by the ocean, offering panoramic views of the Bay of Samaná. In the afternoon, we will take you by catamaran to the famous island in Samaná Bay, “Cayo Levantado”, which is also known as “Barcadi Island”. Here you will have time to enjoy the spectacular beach, go swimming in the ocean and explore this wonders of this small island.
